Working Towards Compliance
SafeFarmsWA Safety Inductions, Checklists and the “Safe Farms WA Safety Management System” are education tools that have been developed to help guide you to ensure that you are working toward aligning with compliance with current legislation and guide you to providing a safe workplace.
Inductions can also provide insights regarding gaps in skills and knowledge. The employer can then train people as is necessary and appropriate, as part of their Duty of Care and responsibilities to legislation, to ensure that everyone can identify hazards and risks and develop ways to mitigate unsafe practices and situations.
The safety, health and wellbeing of all of the people who live on, visit and work on farms is the most important responsibility that must be shared by everyone. Ensuring that all employers, employees, contractors, service providers and visitors all understand this is vitally important.
